Stiris Research Inc. Announces On-Time Database Lock in Phase IIa ALS Clinical Trial

Cambridge, MA — September 10th, 2026. —

Stiris Research (“Stiris”) an entrepreneurial clinical trial management company focused on the management of Phase I-IIIB trials, announced an on-time database lock in a Phase IIa amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) clinical trial. Database lock marks the point at which the clinical dataset is final and ready for statistical analysis.

This trial enrolled 11 patients across two Canadian sites, a meaningful cohort in a rare, rapidly progressing disease where every patient matters. The study maintained rigorous data integrity through risk-based clinical trial monitoring, which focused resources where they mattered most; proactive query management, which kept the dataset clean and timelines on track; and integrated data reviews, which surfaced trends and issues in real time. Together, these strategies delivered high-quality data with minimal burden on participants and sites, critical in ALS research, where speed and rigor directly affect how quickly new treatments reach participants.

“Sponsors come to us for complex studies because they need a partner who will protect their timelines. This database lock shows what that looks like in practice: proactive, risk-based monitoring from the first participant to final data cleaning. We’re proud to help move this program forward. We’re also grateful to the trial sites, participants, and caregivers whose commitment made this study possible.” said Shantal Feltham, President & CEO.

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive neurological disease that affects the motor neurons controlling voluntary muscle movement, leading to a gradual loss of mobility, speech, and, eventually, the ability to breathe independently. There is currently no cure, and treatment options remain limited. This study is evaluating a therapeutic approach in people living with ALS to address a critical unmet need in a disease that progresses quickly and affects participants and families profoundly.

Statistical analysis will follow database lock. Database lock is an operational milestone and does not indicate study results.
